Comment on Competency Models: What They Are and Why You Need Them by Alicia Newton http://outmatch.com/competency-models-what-they-are-and-why-you-need-them/#comment-77 Tue, 01 Mar 2016 05:13:50 +0000 http://assess-systems.assess.int/?p=5759#comment-77 The competency models that I have followed were looking for new employees with the right attributes. Having customer service background or a good personality was always a plus. Assessing and developing new skills by training employees and attending workshops. Underlining the expectations of the job. Motivating and teaching new employees to company standards. We want to build and develop their listening and communications skills.

Comment on Are Assessment Scores Affected by the Seasons? by patrick http://outmatch.com/assessment-scores-affected-seasons/#comment-74 Tue, 25 Aug 2015 21:51:00 +0000 https://assess-systems.assess.int/?p=4722#comment-74 how would your assessment tests assess people like Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos and other such techies who started out companies from the garages and who did not even have a college degree all they had is great passion for their work. does your assessment test measure a persons passion for his /her work. This is America known for equal employment opportunity and dignity of labor and the facts and figures mentioned above in this very article shows that the assessments test cannot be as real measure for judging a candidate and can be discriminating even. i feel assessments tests are used by managers to minimize their own risk by outsourcing good judgement. my suggestion to the author is also look into how assessments tests can be on shaky legal ground.

Comment on He Stayed for the Guacamole by Vickie Penney http://outmatch.com/he-stayed-for-the-guacamole/#comment-76 Thu, 16 Oct 2014 20:45:00 +0000 https://assess-systems.assess.int/?p=4775#comment-76 It’s really amazing to see that my own reasons for staying with the company are reflected in your statistics –even though I am not in the restaurant industry.

I’ve been with Assess Systems for 20 years and the primary reason I have stayed so long is the people in the organization. Even though there have been a lot of personnel changes over the years, including our management team, I still enjoy working with this group. Everyone works hard to contribute to our success and we have fun while we work. I have several strong friendships with
co-workers.

But, it also helps that salaries are competitive and we provide quality services and products.

Our Halloween Potluck Luncheon is planned for the end of the month. Maybe someone will bring guacamole and I can add that to my reasons for staying!
