Fueling Front-Line Hiring At American Airlines

Director of Global Talent Acquisition Rob Daugherty talks about using predictive assessments across American Airlines’ front-line workforce – for pilots, flight attendants, agents, fleet service people, and more. A name like American Airlines attracts a lot of applicants, so the challenge for Talent Acquisition teams is identifying the right fit for the job, especially for high-volume, entry-level roles that don’t require prior experience. Rob explains how the assessment solves this challenge:

With front-line positions, it’s almost impossible to understand who’s a good fit and who isn’t. We hire a lot of people that don’t have experience, so [the assessment] really filters down the number of people who have the right competencies and personalities and skill sets.”
