Joining Compass Group in 2005, Louise Bijesse heads up Talent Acquisition for Compass Group USA and leads four recruiting teams. Based in Charlotte, NC, Compass Group North America is the leading foodservice management and support services company with $14.5 billion in revenues in 2015. Compass Group was recently named one of America’s 500 Best Employers by Forbes, ranking as the highest contract food and business support services company.
For six years before joining Compass Group, Louise owned and managed a culinary staffing agency with offices in Long Island and Manhattan. The agency focused on filling hospitality temp positions in NY and direct hire culinary, hospitality and sales professional positions with companies throughout the US.
From 1989 through 1998, Louise worked for Corporate Food Management, a regional foodservice company, and Creative Dining Services, a related company. She managed the vending, office coffee service, and foodservice sales for the organization and later moved into the role of Operations Support for Creative Dining Services. Before this, Louise worked as a chef in several restaurants and taught cooking classes while operating Candelabra Caterers, an off-premise catering company. Starting her hospitality career early, Louise grew up in the family catering business.
Louise holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, and Economics from the Empire State College, State University of New York and, a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from the Bryan School of Business at UNC Greensboro. Louise helped launch the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of WLN – a Compass Group Leadership Network, and also served as a Student Advisory Board Member at Le Cordon Bleu School. Louise has served on the PeopleFluent CAB since 2011, and also serves on the OutMatch CAB since 2015.
